When you're shipping a large number of vinyl records to another country, the main concern is how to pack them together safely in order to avoid damage by postal processing machines or by rough handling during delivery. The following instructions will show you how to add sufficient cushioning so that the records arrive at their destination safe and sound.
Cross two pieces of bubble wrap that are as wide as the records and three and a half times as long. Put 20-22 records on top of the center, where the two pieces of bubble wrap cross.
Fold the bubble wrap over the records and secure with tape.
Cut four pieces of cardboard approximately 4" x 6" (10cm x 15 cm). Fold them twice and tape the ends together to make four sturdy corner protections.
Place the bubble-wrapped records into the record mailer and insert the four protective corners. Corner detail:
Fill in the extra space with newspaper.
Close the record mailer and secure it with a generous amount of tape.
