Sneijder snubs United, Chelsea for Inter stay
Manchester United wanted him to improve their midfield following the retirement of Paul Scholes.

Milan: Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder has stated that he wants to remain at San Siro despite having been strongly linked with Premier League champions Manchester United.

However, despite the rumours, the 27-year-old has made it clear that he wants to remain in Milan.

"There is a family atmosphere at Inter and there are all the ingredients to aim high," he said, according to Corriere dello Sport.

"Milan is marvellous, picturesque and full of elegance. I love it. At the moment I am very happy here and I don't see why I should leave."

Sneijder's quotes may prove to be a blow to the Old Trafford outfit, who are looking to improve their midfield following the retirement of Paul Scholes and the impending departure of Owen Hargreaves from the club.

Recently, former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly told Goal.com the Stamford Bridge outfit would do well to sign Sneijder.
