New Delhi: Precautionary measures have been taken in Italy to avoid fan riots, as Roma fans will not be allowed to travel to Turin for the upcoming match against Juventus.
Due to fears of riots between fans, Roma supporters will not be allowed to travel to Turin for the match against bitter rivals Juventus on November 1.
This was decided following a meeting at the Osservatorio today, during which ticketing restrictions for matches with a high risk of violence were discussed.
Other games that won't see any away fans supporting their team will be Napoli-Reggina and Genoa-Cagliari on October 29, as well as Sampdoria-Torino on November 2.
Bologna-Juventus, also on October 29, and Lazio-Catania and Siena-Fiorentina, which take place the following weekend, were also considered risky games, but these games will not restricted to away fans. However, the fans will only be allowed to buy one ticket each.
Napoli fans are also banned for the match away to Milan on November 2nd, which means Milan fans will be able to fill the seats normally reserved for away fans, thanks to their 'Cuore Rossonero' cards, a special membership card.
