Manchester: Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera broke a rib in the 2-1 win against West Ham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United couldn't say on Tuesday how long Herrera will be out.
The injury forced Herrara, an offseason signing from Athletic Bilbao, to be substituted in the 74th minute.
He is the 10th United player to miss action because of an injury.
