New Delhi: Tsar Guus could remain Blues boss beyond season's end if his compatriot takes his international gig.
According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will attempt to keep Guus Hiddink on as manager by convincing Dick Advocaat, the Zenit St Petersburg boss, to coach Russia.
Hiddink is currently at Stamford Bridge on a fixed, short-term deal and is juggling his club duties with his international ones, but his promising start in England - two games, two wins - has led to calls for him to be appointed permanently.
And so Abramovich, whose heavy investment in Russian football gives him plenty of clout where the national team is concerned, will 'recommend' Advocaat take over in Moscow, thus freeing Hiddink to stay on in London.
It would not be an altogether unpopular switch, considering the ex-Rangers gaffer's impressive record at the Petrovsky Stadium - most notably last season's UEFA Cup triumph.
However, it remains to be seen just how willing Hiddink will be to commit to a full-time club job, especially with Russia vying for a place at the 2010 World Cup.
