Aston Villa, Newcastle draw 0-0 in Premier League

England: Aston Villa remained unbeaten in their start to the Premier League season despite not having a shot on target in a 0-0 draw against Newcastle on Saturday.

Villa have four points from two games, while Newcastle grabbed their first point.

Newcastle had clear opportunities just after the break at Villa Park, with Daryl Janmaat having a header pushed over by Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan and firing a shot just off target.

Magpies substitute and debutant Siem de Jong was then denied by another save by Guzan, before Newcastle's Mike Williamson was sent off in the dying seconds having collected two yellow cards in quick succession.
