Television actress Sayli Salunkhe has come out in support of Rajan Shahi. Her previous show, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, was produced under Shahi’s Director’s Kut Productions. Rajan Shahi has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. First, he made headlines for ousting Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Later, Hina Khan also opened up about leaving YRKKH and took a dig at Shahi by saying, “jo bahut bolta hai na, zaroori nahi woh sahi ho.”
In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Sayli was asked about Krishna Mukherjee’s recent harassment allegations against the maker of her show. To this, the Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak actress shared that she has no idea about it. She then named Rajan Shahi and mentioned that she has only worked with “good producers”.
“I have never faced any of these things. This hasn’t happened to me ever because maybe I am blessed to have worked with good producers including Rajan Shahi and Sandeep Sikand. I feel I have only worked with good people. I have never had such a bad experience but I don’t know if such things happen. If it does, this is really bad. I don’t understand why such incidents take place. We don’t know which side of the story is right. We cannot support anyone unless we know both sides,” she told us.
“In Rajan’s (Shahi) show also, people are questioning him but the actors also trouble him a lot. We don’t know who is at mistake but such things never happened to me,” she added without naming Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe.
The young actress further shared that Rajan Shahi’s production house is like a family to her and said, “Rajan ji used to be on sets at least 4 days in a week. He used to talk to everyone personally, he used to tell us the story and narrate it to us. If there was any problem, we used to call him saying ‘sir, yeh problem hai’. His team was also always ready (to help). Today also, if I go to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai sets), people are so welcoming. It does not feel like why did I go there. DKP is like a family, it will always remain the same.”
Sayli clarified that she isn’t praising Rajan Shahi just because she has worked with him. She questioned those spreading unnecessary hate around his shows and concluded by calling him a “nice human being”.
“It is not like I am saying good things just because I worked with them. My experience was very good. There was unnecessary hate around our show. I saw that many people are abusing him, unnecessarily. I don’t know what was the past. My experience was too good. He (Rajan Shahi) is a very good producer. He is a very nice human being,” she said.
