The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has revised the National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2023 examination date. The Jharkhand NMMS was originally slated on December 17, 2023, but will now take place on February 11, 2024, according to the updated schedule. The Jharkhand NMMS 2023 admit card will be given on February 4, 2024. Candidates can obtain the admit card from the official website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in. Students must use the login credentials they created during registration to obtain the Jharkhand NMMS 2023 admit card.

The Jharkhand NMMS scholarship scheme provides Rs 12,000 in financial help to chosen students in grades 9 through 12. Students studying in private schools, as well as those at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Sainik schools, are unable to apply for the Jharkhand NMMS Scholarship. Students in Class 8 are eligible to take the NMMS Jharkhand test 2023-24.

To be eligible for the JAC NMMS scholarship in 2023, students must have received at least 55 per cent in Class 7. In addition, the student’s parents’ monthly income must be less than or equal to Rs. 3.5 lakh. To be eligible for a scholarship in class 9, students must have received a minimum grade of 55 per cent on the class 8 examination. To be eligible for a scholarship in Class 10, students must qualify in their Class 9 exams. A scholarship in Class 11 requires a student to get at least 60 per cent in Class 10 (with a 5 per cent relaxation for reserved categories). The student must also complete Class 11 to be eligible for the scholarship in Class 12.

The Jharkhand NMMS 2023-24 exam is held in two parts: the Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). The SAT consists of 90 multiple-choice questions in Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics, which are covered in Classes 7 and 8. Meanwhile, the MAT part includes 90 multiple-choice questions designed to assess both verbal and nonverbal abilities such as reasoning and critical thinking. Students should expect questions with analogies, classification, arithmetic series, pattern recognition, and other related topics.

Students who are eventually chosen for the scholarship must stay in touch with both their school and the district education officer during the scholarship period (grades 9-12). To be eligible to take advantage of the scheme, beneficiaries must complete an annual application through the National Scholarship Portal.
