The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the CBSE Central Eligibility cum Entrance Test (CTET) December 2024 exam date. According to the latest update, the CBSE CTET 2024 examination will now be held on December 15 in two shifts. Shift 1 is from 9:30 am to 12 noon and shift 2 will take place from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Earlier the CTET exam was scheduled for December 1 this year. Additionally, the decision to postpone the CBSE CTET 2024 examination was made for administrative reasons. Candidates can access the CBSE CTET 2024 revised date notice on the official website at ctet.nic.in.
The Board has also mentioned that if there are more candidates in any city, the examination may be conducted on December 14, 2024. “Now, due to administrative reasons, the CTET is rescheduled on 15th December 2024 (Sunday). In case the number of candidates is more in any city, the exam may also be conducted on 14th December 2024,” the official notice reads.
Meanwhile, the last date to submit the CBSE CTET 2024 online applications is October 16. It is important to note that the registration forms must be submitted before 11:59 pm on the last mentioned date.
CBSE CTET December 2024 Exam: Application Fee
The examination fee for General or OBC candidates is Rs 1,000 for Papers I or II, and Rs 1,200 for both Papers I and II. The exam fee for SC/ST/Differently Abled Person category candidates is Rs 500 for only Paper I or II, and Rs 600 for both Papers I and II. The fees can be paid online with a debit card, credit card, or through net banking.
CBSE CTET December 2024 Exam: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website of CBSE CTET at ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘CTET December 2024’ link.
Step 3: As a new window opens, candidates need to register themselves first. Once the process is done, log in to the new account.
Step 4: Then fill out the application form and pay the mandatory examination fee.
Step 5: Crosscheck all the details and submit the form. Remember to download the confirmation page.
