The Indian Air Force has recently released recruitment for a total of 317 posts in the Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical) Branch, and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch. How will the recruitment be done?
The Indian Air Force does these recruitments through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Those who pass this test are picked for the Indian Air Force’s flying branch and other branches. The special thing is that after getting selected for these posts, the candidates will get a salary of Rs 56,100–1,77,500.
Who can give the Air Force Common Admission Test?
To get a job in the Indian Air Force, there is the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), for which only those candidates who have passed 12th with 50 percent marks can apply, but the condition is that they should have passed Intermediate in Science stream along with Maths and Physics. Different qualifications are prescribed for different posts.
IAF AFCAT 2024: Age Limit for AFCAT
For the recruitment of the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force, the age of the candidate should be between 20 and 24 years, and for applying for the posts of the Ground Duty Branch, the age of the candidate should be between 20 and 26 years.
Flying Branch:
To apply for Flying Branch, the candidate must have passed the 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50 percent marks, and graduate candidates with 60 percent marks in any stream can also apply for it. Apart from this, a BE/BTech pass with 60 percent marks can also apply.
Ground Duty (Aeronautical Engineering):
To apply for these posts, the candidate must have passed the 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50 percent marks. Aside from that, the candidate should hold an engineering degree. If integrated, postgraduates can also apply.
Admission: To apply for these posts, the candidate must have passed 12th with 60 percent marks and should be a graduation degree holder.
Education: Candidates applying for these posts should have 50 percent marks in 12th grade and be postgraduates with 60 percent marks in any stream.
Logistics: If you have completed graduation with 60 percent marks, then you can apply for these posts.
