A funny incident happened between Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Virat Kohli and Cameron Green in the mid-innings interview during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.
was asked to hand the Orange Cap to his teammate Kohli as the former became the highest run-scorer of the IPL 2024. Kohli was then supposed to leave the stage and it was Green who should have stayed back for the interview with the broadcasters. But Green, apart from giving the cap, also gave the mike to Kohli and then left.
It was a hilarious situation which left Kohli and commentator Ian Bishop in splits. The former Indian skipper then handed back the microphone to Green and left.
The Aussie allrounder was seen shooing Kohli away in a light-hearted gesture.

Despite Kohli’s brilliance with the bat, KKR defeated RCB by seven wickets on Friday. The Faf Du Plessis-led side posted a target of 182 runs losing six wickets, on the back of Kohli’s unbeaten knock of 83 runs. KKR completed the run chase in 16.5 overs.
Kohli and Green stitched a partnership of 65 runs for the second wicket against KKR. RCB skipper Du Plessis fell cheaply once again as he scored just 8 runs. Kohli remained unbeaten on 83 runs while KKR’s Andre Russell dismissed Green in the ninth over on 33.
Green is one of the players to watch out for in IPL 2024 as he was traded from Mumbai Indians for a whopping amount of Rs 17.4 Crore. In the tournament opener against CSK, he scored 18 runs and took two wickets. He could not take a single wicket against PBKS and got out after scoring just three runs. He started well against KKR but failed to convert it into something big. He again went wicketless against KKR and conceded just seven runs in one over.
