After securing a comeback win over the West Indies in a three-match T20I series, hosts Sri Lanka would like to get the better of Men in Maroon in a three-match ODI series as well. The first ODI is scheduled to take place at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on Sunday (October 20), and the next two matches will also be played at the same venue on Wednesday (October 23) and Saturday (October 26).
Wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope will lead the two-time ODI World Cup winners in the 50-over matches, whereas the hosts will play under the leadership of Charith Asalanka. Sri Lanka defeated India in the last ODI series, and the 1996 World Cup winners will be desperate to repeat the same show.
