'He is Back on Track': Sanjay Manjrekar Lauds Arshdeep Singh After His Stellar Performances in ODI Series vs SA
Arshdeep Singh managed to finish the ODI series against South Africa with 10 wickets in three games to be adjudged the Player of the Series.

After India managed to clinch the ODI series, 2-1. Arshdeep Singh managed to come out with flying colours after his stellar display throughout the series. He managed to end up with 10 wickets across three games to secure the Player of the Series Award as well.

Former Indian cricketer and now pundit, Sanjay Manjrekar was elated to see the resurgence of Arshdeep Singh in international cricket. He said,” The best news for India is Arshdeep Singh. He managed to make his name during the IPL and break into international cricket.”

Arshdeep Singh managed to break into the Indian side- and wowed the crowd when he managed to pick up the wicket of Babar Azam in his very first delivery to make a statement. But since then India has had a torrid tournament crashing out in the knockouts after being defeated by the eventual champions England.

Sanjay Manjrekar also added some criticism during his dip in form, “But after playing some international cricket and playing in the T20 World Cup, his career went a bit off-track. He was expensive in a few tough matches and looks to have affected his bowling. You thought maybe he was trying too many things.”

The left-arm pacer managed to come back in good touch during the series against South Africa where he managed to pick up a five-wicket haul in the first ODI to restrict the Proteas to just 116 runs in the first innings.

Manjrekar added,” But in South Africa with pitches being helpful, that performance with a fifer in the first ODI must have boosted his confidence. The biggest thing is that Arshdeep Singh is back on track.”

India will look ahead to the upcoming red-ball games against South Africa as the final leg of their tour. The Indian team will once again aim to break the long-standing dominance of South Africa in their home soil having never picked up a series victory in South Africa.
