Arshdeep Singh was heard asking Kuldeep Yadav about what it was like to bowl with the wind and against the wind during the Super Eight fixture.
Kuldeep replied, “It was difficult because my ball usually cuts in for a righty so I was trying to read the batsman when started my first over.”
The Indian spinner further talked about how Axar Patel’s catch helped open up things for the team. “In the second over, the catch from Axar was a brilliant one, probably from there the game opened for us,” he concluded.
Right after the answer, Kuldeep Yadav congratulated Arshdeep Singh for playing his 50th T20I with India. Kuldeep was curious about how the pacer was consistently finding wickets for India with the new ball. Responding to Kuldeep’s query, Arshdeep said, “There’s not much to say, [Bumrah] has been performing like a video game, playing with an economy of two or three. So the batters try to take their pressure out on me, leading to some high-risk shots and that’s where I find success.”
Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav also talked about the importance of fielding in the sport. They revealed how the team has been constantly striving to improve and take impactful catches. The duo requested the fans to continue supporting them for the remaining fixtures.
Defending a target of 206, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav came up with terrific bowling as the duo combined for five wickets. Arhsdeep claimed the wickets of David Warner, Tim David and Matthew Wade while Kuldeep dismissed Glenn Maxwell and Aussie skipper Mitchell Marsh. In their next match, India will face reigning champions England in the T20 World Cup semi-final on Thursday, June 27.
