Colin Munro's Fielding Tips Helps Ball Boy Complete Sensational Catch in PSL | WATCH
Colin Munro showed a ball boy how to take a catch and was overjoyed when he managed to use the advice soon after.

New Zealand batter Colin Munro has been winning hearts for his warm gesture towards a ball boy, who was at the sidelines of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi on Monday. Munro, who represents the Islamabad-based franchise in the tournament, was seen offering some fielding-related advice to the kid, who failed to complete a catch beyond the boundary. The moment transpired in the second innings when Peshawar Zalmi were chasing a mammoth target of 197 runs.

Colin Munro was fielding at the deep square leg and the ball boy was positioned right behind him. Peshawar’s Amir Jamal slammed a six over Munro’s head and the ball was way out of his reach. The ball boy also tried to take the catch but failed in his attempt. That’s when Munro was seen sharing some tips with the kid.

The ball boy proved to be a quick learner. A few over later, Arif Yaqoob flicked a delivery towards the leg side and the ball landed just behind Colin Munro. The ball boy made no mistake this time. He showcased an acrobatic effort by throwing his body on the ground and the ball comfortably found his clasp.

As soon as he completed the catch, the ball boy broke into an emphatic celebration. Colin Munro was also left impressed by the effort. In an appreciatory gesture, the cricketer came forward to give the boy a tight hug.

The heartwarming moment was captured in the broadcaster’s camera and became viral in no time. The official X account of the PSL shared the clip with a caption, “Just out of reach for Munro, but the ball boy dives in for a sensational catch and earns a warm hug.”

Speaking about the on-field actions, Colin Munro was able to show some glimpses of his big-hitting prowess in the first innings. During his short-lived nine-ball innings, the Kiwi opener smashed a four and a six, scoring 15 runs.

Captain Shadab Khan was the top performer for Islamabad United. The Pakistani all-rounder registered 80 off 51 deliveries and his blistering knock was laced with four boundaries and six maximums.

For Peshawar Zalmi, only Aamir Jamal could make a notable contribution. He scored a quickfire 87 but the efforts were not enough to clinch the victory. The Babar Azam-led side ultimately fell 29 runs short of the target.
