'Batting Like a WOW': Suryakumar Yadav Relishes Team India's Stellar Batting Display Against Zimbabwe in 2nd T20I
Suryakumar Yadav was in awe of India's dominant batting display which demolished Zimbabwe's bowlers in the second T20I to allow them the victory by 100 runs.

As the Indian team managed to get the win against Zimbabwe in the second T20I game in Harare on Sunday, Suryakumar Yadav was active on X where he shared his reaction to some of the game-changing moments in the first innings.

India’s game was set up to get the win with the batters taking the game against the Zimbabwean bowlers. The young opening batter, Abhishek Sharma who was dismissed for a duck in the previous game, managed to find his groove and went on to score his maiden international century.

“Abhishek Sharma is batting like a WOW. Game changer”, wrote Suryakumar Yadav in a post on X reacting to the young southpaw’s blistering innings.

He also delivered massive praise to Ruturaj Gaikwad. He came in at number three and played the perfect role of second fiddle to Abhishek following which he managed to pick up the pace and finish with a score of 77 in 47 balls to help the Indian side set a target past 200 runs.

“Ruturaj Gaikwad Pure Class,” said the top-order batter in another post on X. Gaikwad’s knock was the perfect example of knowing his role and focusing on contributing to the team.

However along with Abhishek and Ruturaj’s knocks, it was none other than Rinku Singh who managed to give India’s batting innings the perfect finishing touch with a blistering knock of 48 in 22 balls to help India set a target of 235 runs which proved to be too much.

India will hope that they can continue playing a similar brand of cricket and that they can take inspiration from Suryakumar Yadav’s fielding and improve their own as they were fairly shoddy with a couple of boundaries being conceded due to poor efforts on the field.

The Indian team led by Shubman Gill will gear up for the third T20I which is also being played in Harare on July 10, 2024.
