Rajinikanth Cracks Up as Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim Teases Him; Video Goes Viral

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth met Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim and it was a heartwarming sight! In a video going viral, Ibrahim was seen greeting the Jailer star with a big smile and folded hands. He then seemed to have begun teasing him, leaving the superstar in splits. Rajinikanth then gave him a warm hug. Ibrahim and Rajinikanth took a seat together and got busy chatting. They were seen cracking up during the conversation.

For the meeting, Rajinikanth opted an all-white look. He was seen wearing a white veshti along with a crisp white shirt. On the other hand, Anwar Ibrahim was seen wearing a formal black suit. The video of their meet was shared by the several social media accounts, including trade expert Manobala V on X (previously known as Twitter).

Rajinikanth is fresh off the success of Jailer. The film, which released in August, broke several box office records. The film has reportedly surpassed Rs 600 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Amid the success of the film, Sun Pictures announced that Rajinikanth will be seen in a film with Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Presented by Kalanithi Maran, the film is temporarily titled Thalaivar 171, marking Rajinikanth’s 171 film as an actor. The announcement made by Sun Pictures read, “We are happy to announce Superstar @rajinikanth’s #Thalaivar171. Written & Directed by @Dir_Lokesh. An @anirudhofficial musical. Action by @anbariv.”

Lokesh is known for directing some mega-successful films like Leo in 2023 starring Vijay and Trisha Krishnan, Vikram in 2022 starring Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi, and the Kainthi franchise starring Karthi. He has also worked with Bollywood star Ajay Devgn for the 2023 film Bholaa.
