Senior Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan has been grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons and has been on the receiving end of immense backlash for his sexist and derogatory comments against actress Trisha. A couple of days later, he was booked by the Tamil Nadu Police following the National Council for Women’s (NCW) intervention. The actor issued an apology to Trisha. Now, he plans to file a defamation case against the actress and actor Chiranjeevi.
Actress Trisha had filed an FIR against Mansoor Ali Khan under Section 354 A (sexual harassment) and Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) after a clip of the actor’s latest interview went viral. In the video, he was heard talking about a rape scene. He said, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes, and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shooting in Kashmir.”

The actress reacted to these comments by sharing a post where she strongly condemned the “sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive” comments made by Mansoor Ali Khan.

She also received support from veteran actor Chiranjeevi. However, the actress has forgiven her co-star and reacted to the apology by sharing a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). She wrote, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.”

Now, in a recent turn of events, after issuing an apology, Mansoor Ali Khan has decided to file a lawsuit against actor-politician Khushbu Sundar, Trisha and megastar Chiranjeevi for defaming him and claiming that the video has been doctored. As per him, the video which took the internet by storm was manipulated and doctored. He also accused Trisha, Chiranjeevi and Khushbu of defaming and disturbing the public peace for criminal and civil purposes for a week. He claimed that he was innocent and would produce the original video and evidence against the three actors.
