Social media jobs portal LinkedIn has released a list of top-25 companies in India to grow your career. The ‘LinkedIn Top Companies in India 2024’ report places Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on top, followed by Accenture and Cognizant.
“Our 8th annual LinkedIn Top Companies list puts a spotlight on the 25 leading workplaces with more than 5,000 employees globally to grow your career in India,” LinkedIn said in a blogpost. It added that the methodology employed focuses on how employees are getting promoted, how picking new skills help and more.
According to LinkedIn, hiring mandates look optimistic in the ongoing quarter. “Not just hiring, India Inc is also walking the extra mile to retain employees — be it by offering fertility benefits or giving a makeover to the stock options they provide.”
LinkedIn Top Companies in India 2024
India’s largest IT company TCS grabbed the top spot in the LinkedIn Top Companies in India 2024, while other IT companies Accenture and Cognizants. Among the top-25 companies, nine are financial service companies, including Macquarie Group (4th position), Morgan Stanley (5th), and JPMorgan Chase and Co (6th).
This was followed by companies from the Technology sector, including HCL Tech (12th), Amazon (15th) and Mastercard (17th). Companies from the Pharmaceutical industry were also well represented with Bristol Myers Squibb (8th), Novo Nordisk (24th) and Viatris (25th) making the list.
According to the list, Lentra, MakeMyTrip, and Redington Limited led LinkedIn’s debut ‘Top Midsize Companies’ list in India.
Top Midsize Companies In India In 2024
On the top midsize companies list (250-500 employees in India), SaaS platform Lentra took the top spot. The list also features several made in India companies including MakeMyTrip (2nd position), Professional Assistance For Development Action (PRADAN) (7th), Nykaa (9th), and Dream11. With wide representation across travel, financial services, social impact, and fantasy sports, the list highlights available opportunities in diverse industries for job seekers in India.
“The list is derived from LinkedIn data and the ranking of companies is based on eight pillars that have shown to lead to career progression such as the ability to advance; skills growth; company stability; external opportunity; company affinity; gender diversity; educational background and employee presence in the country,” LinkedIn said.

It said some of the largest job functions that these Top Companies are investing in include Engineering, Consulting, Analyst, Sales, Operations and Finance.
Top Places for Companies in India
Bengaluru continues to lead as the top location where these Top Companies are based and looking to hire talent, followed by Hyderabad, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and Pune.
