Bengaluru Driver's 'Heartwarming' Response to Road Rage Incident Stuns Reddit
How a Bengaluru car driver's 'too calm and joyous' response to road rage taught Redditors a valuable lesson.

Instances of road rage on Bengaluru streets keep popping up online, serving as cautionary tales on how to navigate these situations. However, a recent observer’s encounter with a road rage incident imparted a valuable lesson in maintaining composure. Surprising, isn’t it? This unexpected wisdom stemmed from the car driver’s heartwarming response to a bike rider who relentlessly hurled insults at him. This incident not only left the onlooker deeply impressed by the car driver’s demeanor but also prompted them to share the story on Reddit, stunning users there as well.

Taking to the ‘Bangalore’ subreddit, Reddit user @ImmediateEcho421 recounted their experience: “Yesterday, around 10 am near Nandi Durga Road, I was on my way to the office when I noticed a motorcyclist following a car. He was knocking on the car’s window vigorously and shouting, questioning why the car had signaled him to move to the side when he had been following the same path.” They went on to describe how it all began.

“The car experienced difficulty starting, and the motorcyclist behind it kept honking continuously. Eventually, the car’s driver instructed him to go around from the left. After a few minutes, the motorcyclist found himself back on the same route, which seemed to have triggered his anger. The motorcyclist persisted in shouting at the car’s driver” That’s when the car driver’s calming response caught their attention, as he repeatedly said, “Why are you shouting? What will you achieve by shouting? My car had trouble starting, which is why I asked you to go around from the right because you were honking continuously.”

However, the bike rider refused to cease and continued to confront the car driver, despite the latter’s numerous attempts to calm him down. That’s when something unexpected occurred. “The car’s driver started playing Shah Rukh Khan’s song “Chaiyya Chaiyya” and began to groove inside the car. He told the motorcyclist, “Life is too short to get angry over small things, son.” Eventually, the motorcyclist left,” the user continued. Well, safe to say that his tactic did work!

This incident left the Reddit user with a valuable lesson – the power of remaining calm in the midst of heated road rage incidents.

As the Reddit post went viral, comments poured in. “The car driver has found inner peace!” exclaimed one user. “Maybe a lesson for everyone around that place. Even for the motorcyclist,” noted another. “It’s nice that the driver of the car knew how to handle this type of situation,” praised a third.
