Tesla Model 3 Owner Creates Unofficial Mileage Record of 830 Km on a Single Charge [Video]

The entry-level Tesla Model 3 electric vehicle is known as one of the most futuristic budget electric cars ever made, thanks to its massive 310 miles (500 km) all-electric range. However, a Tesla Model 3 owner believes that the Tesla Model 3 has more juice than is being committed by Elon Musk and the team. Sean M. Mitchell, Denver Tesla Club president has just set a hypermile record, traveling 515.7 miles (830 km) on a single charge.

Mitchell undertook a trip from Denver, Colorado to Topeka, Kansas that lasted 18 hours and got a mileage of 515.7 mile, a good 205 miles higher than the standard claimed range. However, in a statement to Teslarati, Mitchell was optimistic about surpassing 600-mile mark in the Model 3.

The Model 3 driven by Mitchell still had roughly 10 kWh left when he decided to finish the trip. Sean Mitchell carefully planned his trip, traveling at a consistent 30 miles per hour to get the most out of the electric car’s battery.

Cruise control was used to maintain the vehicle’s speed, and Autopilot was not activated during the hypermile run. According to Sean, he opted to turn on Chill Mode during the trip, and Regenerative braking was also set to Low. The hypermile Model 3 was equipped with Tesla’s 18-inch Aero Wheels, designed to extend the electric range.

Even though Tesla Model 3 is facing a lot of production issues and delays in deliveries, whosoever owns one, is going gaga over the new product. Apart from high performance, Tesla Model 3 also boasts of a brilliant 0-100 kmph acceleration and was driven at 209 km/h on Autobahn recently.
