Jeremy Dufrene works as an airboat captain for Arthur’s Airboat Tours in Louisiana. In this role, he takes tourists on thrilling journeys through swamps and marshes, offering them close encounters with local wildlife like alligators, herons egrets, and over 300 bird species, according to the company.
Before he became a captain, Dufrene was employed at a chemical plant. However, his bio reveals that he discovered his true passion for guiding airboat tours. “He quickly realised that this was a great fit and he has never thought of going back to his previous career at the plant," his bio mentions.
Beyond his work as a tour guide, Dufrene is also a father. He has two daughters and a son from a previous relationship.
Del Rey and Dufrene have known each other for several years. In 2019, the singer shared photos on Facebook from an airboat tour she enjoyed with Dufrene, captioning one of the pictures, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours."

In May 2024, Del Rey posted a photo on Instagram, tagging Dufrene and seemingly referring to him as her “guy." The caption read, “Family w my guy Jeremy Dufrene Cody Jay," alongside a picture featuring the singer and her two siblings.
In August 2024, Del Rey and Dufrene were reportedly spotted by a TikTok user walking hand-in-hand at the Leeds Festival in England, where Del Rey was headlining. The incident took place on August 25, the same day the singer delivered her final performance at the festival.
