As we enter 2018, both the domestic and the global market will be looking at the India’s largest automotive event – the 2018 Auto Expo. Manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki will start the proceedings of the 2018 by launching the new 2018 Ciaz mid-size sedan. Similarly, Toyota is ready with the Vios mid-size sedan launch too. These, and a lot more sedans, like the Honda Amaze facelift and the all-new Audi A8 are all slated to hit the Indian roads over the period of next 12 months, all of which are eagerly awaited by the prospective buyers. We have compiled a list of the top upcoming sedans to launch in India in 2018!

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift
Since Hyundai launched its much awaited all-new Verna last year, and Honda is already ruling the mid-size sedan segment with the City, Maruti Suzuki needs to up their game to match the rivals. In a bid to do the same, India’s largest car manufacturer will launch the facelifted Ciaz in the coming days, most probably at the 2018 Auto Expo. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be offered with a redesigned front and rear, added features and improved performance.
Toyota Vios
The mid-size sedan segment in India is largely dominated by 3 players, as mentioned above. However, Toyota has a perfect product to match the offerings in this segment. The Vios mid-size sedan looks like it is tailor made for the Indian market, but its arrival in India has been long overdue. Sharing the design cues with the Camry, especially in the front, the Vios is spacious, gets premium interior and feature loaded. It is expected that Toyota will launch the Vios this year at Rs 8-12 lakh.
Honda Amaze Facelift
Their used to be a time when the compact sedan market was the most competitive segment in India with products like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze and many more. However, Maruti has gone leaps and bounds ahead with the new gen Dzire, leaving competition behind. Honda will try to regain the magic with the facelifted version of the Amaze sedan, which was often touted as a brilliant overall package. Expect an updated cabin design and feature list.
All-new Audi A8
Apparently, India has a big market for flagship sedans like BMW 7-Series, Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8. However when it comes to sheer brand value, a lot of celebrities and politicians prefer BMW or Mercedes over the Audi A8. This equation can fast be changed post the launch of the new Audi A8. The new sedan is more tech-laden than ever before and has Level 3 autonomous driving technology. The long-wheelbase A8 with a full suite of features will have massage functions, temperature controlled footrests and more.
New Mercedes Benz CLS
Mercedes-Benz is the highest luxury car seller in India, with over 15000 units sold in 2017. Thanks to the trust of buyers, Mercedes brings all the latest global models to India. The CLS sedan will one such launch in 2018 and will replace the second-generation CLS with ‘four-door coupé’ body style. The CLS have always been one of the best looking cars in the country and the third-generation CLS will continue with the same theme. Mercedes will borrow engines, driver assistance systems and other interior options from the S-class.
