Well-known YouTuber Steven Schapiro, renowned for his public prank videos, has once again captured the internet’s attention with a viral video. This time, he took to the streets of San Francisco, US, to prank unsuspecting Uber riders by picking them up in a Tesla CyberTruck.

The video starts with Schapiro excitedly announcing, “The day has finally come. We are picking up the CyberTruck." He then proceeds to collect the vehicle, with a man who bought the vehicle with him noting, “It’s pretty similar to driving a normal Tesla … just bigger."

Schapiro begins his prank by offering strangers a ride, posing as an Uber driver. The passengers are visibly astonished at the sight of being picked up in a CyberTruck, with some recognising Schapiro, while others simply relish the experience. One fortunate German man, on his first day in San Francisco, was thrilled by the unexpected ride, remarking, “First day in America and this happens."

As the CyberTruck gains speed, the excitement among the passengers is palpable. Meanwhile, onlookers on the streets can be seen taking pictures of the vehicle. The video continues with Schapiro offering rides to various people, all of whom are fascinated and thrilled by the experience.

Schapiro, who boasts 2,800,000 subscribers on YouTube, garnered 225,000 views on this particular video. Commenting on the video, a user remarked, “All of them were like little kids with a new toy, love to see this type of content!" Another user praised Schapiro’s ingenuity, stating, “I like how Steven was pranking people doing a video that you would not think of as pranks. Kudos."

When the Tesla Cybertruck made its debut on stage over four years ago, it caused a sensation that virtually broke the internet. Following numerous delays and considerable speculation, Elon Musk’s unconventional pickup truck has finally hit the roads in the US.

The Cybertruck is making waves with its starting price of $60,990 (Rs 50.70 lakh), which is over 50 per cent higher than Elon Musk’s 2019 promise. This truck, crafted from shiny stainless steel and featuring flat planes, draws inspiration from a car-turned-submarine in the 1977 James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me, according to Musk.

However, its innovative design and new body material have introduced complexity and increased production costs. Experts suggest that these unconventional, futuristic elements could potentially alienate traditional pickup truck buyers who prioritise utility, as reported by Business Today.
