Woman Orders Printouts From Blinkit, Gets Someone’s Bank Statement. Here's Platform's Response
An X user recently complained that Blinkit sent her someone else's bank statements instead of her printouts.

Zomato’s grocery delivery app Blinkit first launched its printing services in selected areas in August 2022. Although this feature was introduced as a means to make life easier, it has been criticised due to various reasons. Recently, a user complained that Blinkit sent her someone else’s bank statements instead of her printouts. The woman, in a series of tweets, mentioned Blinkit responded that documents were deleted after delivery and they won’t be able to “reinitiate the order.”

However, she claims this issue has happened before. Earlier, when a few pages from her document were missing, the company quickly provided her correct documents, but now they declined to provide her new copy.

On X, the woman wrote, “Ordered printouts from Blinkit and I received some random person’s bank statements.” She added, “They’re now telling me they couldn’t reinitiate the order because documents are ‘deleted’ once delivered. But this has happened before where a few pages were missing from my order and they reordered it immediately. Either they never deleted our documents or something’s up.”

The user went on to explain that she chose Blinkit’s online service over a local shop due to concerns about data security, as local shops may not always delete data after completing their work.

Just like her, other social media also shared their own similar experience, when they received someone else’s order.

One user complained that they had missing pages from their order and Blinkit didn’t refund or replace the order. They also mentioned that they received someone else’s document by mistake and now have to return it.

Another user shared a similar experience and recalled that they received someone’s pregnancy reports instead of their own printout. This incident led them to buy a printer.

An individual claimed they don’t trust any Indian companies in handling sensitive documents.

Another person suggested that maybe people should stick to the traditional way of getting printouts and questioned how lazier we can become.

Since the post was shared online, it has gone viral and garnered over 2 Lakh views.
