Woman, Attending Funeral Over Zoom, Accidentally Livestreams Herself Showering
The woman was told about her mistake when she showed up at the funeral reception the next day.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been many instances of people accidentally leaving their cameras on as they join in online meetings or live video streams. The unaware person often ends up in an awkward position, be it when they are inappropriately dressed or are picking their nose on camera without knowing they are being watched. Recently, a woman from the UK made a mortifying mistake after she took a shower on Zoom while she was logged into a livestream of a funeral. The woman, a businesswoman, accidently kept her camera open. Her shower routine was seen by all the mourners who had also logged in to attend the funeral that was being live-streamed from a church in Barnet, north London.

As per Mirror UK, the congregation was mourning the death of a man after he died of cancer. Reportedly, the woman was told about her mishap when she attended the funeral reception later in the day. The screenshots and video of the unfortunate incident began circulating on WhatsApp soon after the funeral.

This businesswoman is not the only person who appeared naked at a serious online meeting. Back in April 2021, William Amos, a former member of the Canadian parliament, appeared on the screens of his parliament colleagues while he was stark naked.

Mr Amos, who has represented the Quebec district of Pontiac from 2015 to 2021, later apologised for this mishap. In a written apology, he wrote, “This was an unfortunate error. My video was accidentally turned on as I was changing into my work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologise to my colleagues in the House of Commons for this unintentional distraction. Obviously, it was an honest mistake and it won’t happen again.”

Earlier in February this year, Romanian politician Alberto-Iosif Caraian participated in an online meeting of Bucharest’s municipal council. He was in the shower during the meeting. Initially, his camera was off, however, when the chairman of the meeting called for attendance, Caraian appeared on the camera to mark his presence. This time, he accidentally opened his camera and appeared naked on the screens of his colleagues. Once he became aware of the mishap, he apologised profusely while struggling to shut off his camera in panic. Caraian, who is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Romania, later joined the meeting fully clothed.
