Kartik Aaryan’s iconic monologue ‘Problem Kya Hai’ from the 2011 film Pyaar Ka Punchnama became a nationwide sensation, capturing the frustrations of men in relationships with its candid and humorous delivery. Now, the memorable monologue has been given a fresh twist from a female perspective. Social media user Twisha Patel has recreated this legendary scene with her own flair, perfectly embodying the humour and frustration of the original. In her rendition, Patel hilariously voices the challenges and grievances she faces in her relationship, offering a new take on the monologue that resonates with women everywhere.
The video opens to show the user saying, “Problem ye hai ki wo ladka hai. Aur ky problem hai. Problem ye hai ki uska friend agar usko bulayega to wo turant chala jyega. Lekin mai agar usko bulaungi to use nahi aaya jyega. Problem ye hai ki usko cricket, politics, share bazar, sabki knowledge hai, lekin mai kyu naraz hu usko ye nahi pata hai. (The problem is that he is a boy. What else is the problem? The problem is that if his friend calls him, he will go immediately. But if I call him, he will not come. The problem is that he has knowledge about cricket, politics, the stock market, everything, but he does not know why I am angry).”
She continues, saying, “Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit kisne kitne run liye, kisne kiski wicket li usko sab kuch yaad hai, but mera birthday, humari anniversary, mera favourite colour usko kuch bhi yaad nhi hai. (He remembers how many runs Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit scored, and who took whose wicket, but he can’t remember my birthday, our anniversary, or even my favourite colour).”
Elaborating further, she complains that he doesn’t watch the reels she forwards, he calls her high maintenance and he never calls back after saying that he will call again.
