Watch: Bride Storms Out Of The Wedding Hall During Pheras

Weddings are one of the most beautiful phases in an individual’s life, as they start a new journey together with their partner. It is not the same for everyone. A video shared on Instagram by a social media user shows the heartbreaking incident of a broken wedding. The video shows a bride removing the chunni (a long scarf that some South Asian women wear around their heads and shoulders) from her head. The bride’s relatives and the other wedding guests are also looking at this scene with shocked expressions. The woman leaves the chunni with one of her relatives and doesn’t turn back. Another woman, standing at the wedding stage with the puja thali couldn’t help herself smiling at this moment. The other relatives are also laughing and waiting whether the bride will return or not. Surprisingly, the groom doesn’t stop the bride and instead does a hand gesture that shows he is not concerned about her leaving the wedding. The video’s location is not known.

Social media users came up with different reactions to this clip. One of them recalled attending the wedding and said that the groom was drunk, that’s why the bride called off the wedding. She added that the women are not wrong every time. Another also added that there must be a reason that the bride left the wedding. Otherwise, she added that the girls have sacrificed their happiness many times for their parent’s sake. The exact reason behind the bride running from the wedding hall is not clear till now.

A similar incident occurred in July 2024 at a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district. This ceremony turned into a scene of unexpected chaos as an argument over the use of a cooler led to the abrupt cancellation of the wedding. The incident occurred in Majra under the jurisdiction of the town council Chitbaragaon police station. The groom, Hukumchandra Jaiswal, hailing from Mustafabad in Sikandarpur police station area, narrated the sequence of events. Hukumchandra’s family had agreed to marry solely based on the bride’s qualities, without any dowry negotiations, the groom explained. Trouble began when a dispute erupted among the guests over seating arrangements near the cooler at the wedding area.

Disturbed by the unfolding commotion, the bride firmly refused to proceed with the wedding.
