We all have heard things like the idol of Lord Ganesh drinking milk and Lord Ram’s idol blinking eyes. A similar thing happened in a church in the US. Connie Liptak, a churchgoer from Ohio, claimed in an interview to have witnessed a divine “miracle” at the Basilica of St John the Baptist in Canton on Friday. According to Liptak, the eyes of the statue of the Virgin Mary, which was on display as part of a world tour, suddenly appeared to close and then open again. Liptak captured the moment in a photo, saying, “I knew it was a miracle because I had been looking at them all morning. They’re really closed. I mean, you can really see her eyelashes are down.”
The digital photo taken by Liptak appears to show the statue of the Virgin Mary with her eyelids closed and her mouth slightly open compared to its original form.

The sculpture in question is the International Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, which is associated by believers with various miracles, including healings and heavenly apparitions. Larry Maginot, the statue’s custodian, said, “We know she cried 15 times.”
Rev David Misbrener, the church’s pastor in Ohio, however, expressed scepticism about the incident in an interview. He said, “I’m a little sceptical about these things, and the church is very cautious about these things. Anything can happen with a camera.”
Despite his reservations, Misbrener acknowledged that the statue served its purpose if someone benefited mentally or physically from the experience.
Previously, people witnessed the enchanting sight of Ram Lalla’s idol ‘blinking their eyes. A video capturing Lord Ram in a seemingly lifelike display, with blinking eyes and expressive facial movements, has surfaced on the internet, leaving the online community not just wide-eyed but utterly spellbound.

While the spectacle appeared magical and authentic, it turns out that the video was crafted using artificial intelligence (AI). “I was not ready for this, my heart skipped a beat. Looks like Ram ji is so emotional,” commented one user. “And our Shree Ram Lalla looks even more innocent and Divine,” expressed another.
