Some of the most viral videos we encounter on social media are the ones that question the intellect of the public. Sometimes they are asked basic general knowledge questions, while other times it is clever brain teasers. A video is going viral online, where the influencer is asking two women a very simple yet ingenious trick question.
The video was shared on Instagram by the account called @rajkandaofficial. He asks in Hindi, “Sher jungle ka raja hai, magar rehta kahan hai? (Sher is the king of the jungle but where does it live?).” To this, the woman on the left replies, repeats the question looking very confused and replies, “Jungle mei hi rehta hai (It lives in the jungle only).” The caption on the clip emphasises the earlier question, “Magar rehta kahan hai? (Where does it live?).”
The funny thing about this question is that the trick question is only effective if you are fluent in the Hindi language. The netizens share their answers in the comment section below, some right some just poking fun at the clip. The first user wrote, “Paani me rehta hai (Lives in water).” A second user shared, “Gufa mei rehta hai sher (The lion lives in a cave).” A third user stated, “Sher gufa mei rehta hai magar pani mei (Lion lives in a cave while magar lives in water).”
So, if you were able to guess the right answer, it shows you understood where the question was being taken. And if you could not then read ahead. The right answer is magar which is Hindi for crocodile and can also be used as a conjunction in a Hindi sentence. So, when the man asks where “magar” lives, he means where is a crocodile’s habitat, at the same time he is asking about a lion’s place. The video has been liked over 100,000 times and gained over 6 million views.
