All around the world, people have different ways of parenting their children. Even though, most cultures try to instil the same values during childhood, some people resort to unique ways of dealing with children and their issues. A child has an abundance of energy in them. As soon as they learn to walk and run, it is hard to control them. These children tend to cry a lot as well. Some parents try to keep them in strollers, while others keep them in their laps. Now, a woman is going viral on social media for putting a leash on her child. Many people have started criticising her and have trolled her for her behaviour towards her child.
As per reports, the woman, Rachel Butcher, is getting quite popular on social media after she posted a picture of her child walking on a leash. After facing trolls, Rachel has given a reason for the leash being attached to her child. She said, “My child runs faster than me. Due to scar tissue from my hysterectomy, I have trouble running sometimes to keep up with him. Let it also be known, that I religiously ran races and ran every day before my surgery. So it’s not due to laziness.” She also added that she had adopted her child with her partner. She doesn’t know the exact genetics of her child and his family. She added that he is at such an age that he runs to almost everything. She further said that it became difficult for them to control him, to which she attached the leash.
Rachel revealed that her child does not want to be tied to the stroller or car seat, so he has to be handled like this. This parenting style has not gone down well with the netizens on social media, as many of them have started commenting on the parenting style of the mother. Many of them have argued that children are not dogs to be controlled and they should be taught using the right techniques and not tied up like animals.
