Noida Man Gets Late to Office After His Electric Scooter Begins 'Updating', Ather Responds
Noida-based man gets late to office after his electric scooter began 'updating', viral post leaves internet confused.

Getting late to the office because of traffic is so last season. Imagine being late because your scooter decided it needed an update. Sounds unbelievable, right? Well, in this age of technological wonders, modern problems have taken a whole new turn, as evidenced by a recent incident involving a Noida man whose electric scooter chose the worst possible moment to update itself, preventing him from quickly riding to the office.

Sharing his unusual experience on ‘X’, Pratik Rai from Noida encountered a problem that not many might have heard of. He explained that his scooter’s software update began right when he was about to leave for the office in the morning, leaving him stranded until the update was completed. While it’s common to blame traffic or car breakdowns for being late to work, Rai’s situation presents a whole new set of ‘reasons’, almost too outlandish for anyone in the office to believe.

To substantiate his claim, this Noida-based commuter, who rides an electric scooter from Ather Energy, provided a video as evidence of his unique dilemma. “It’s SUCH A NEW problem. My Ather started updating when I turned it on in the morning. I couldn’t move or go office,” he shared on ‘X’ before exclaiming, “It’s like – I am late to office because my scooter was updating!”

His post, along with the accompanying video, has garnered nearly 400,000 views on ‘X’.

In response, people began commenting on this bizarre incident, with one user remarking, “New excuse window.” Another mused, “Imagine explaining that to non tech savvy folks.” A third humorously stated, “Can’t join the meeting, Windows update. Can’t come to office, scooter update,” while a fourth envisioned a scenario, “Imagine you’re in a road lafda and you can’t escape because your scooter is updating.”

Even Ather responded to the incident, writing, “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve taken note of your feedback & have shared it with the relevant team. If you have any other concerns or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to DM us. We’re always here to help!”
