Several women in Mumbai took to the streets and thrashed the alcoholics on the road. The women were tired of their constant drinking habit on the roads and hence decided to take matters into their own hands.
A video of these women taking to the roads was shared on social media and has now gone viral. Many people are praising the women who took efforts for the betterment of the people and the society. The authenticity of the video has, however, not been verified independently by News18.

As per the information received from netizens, the incident was reported from Mumbai’s Lalji Pada, Kandivali. These women who were frustrated by the alcoholism and public nuisance decided to confront the men who openly consumed liquor in a public place and thereby decided to thrash them.
In the video, a group of women can be seen walking towards the alcoholics with a broom in their hands. As soon as they see the ones who were drinking, they start beating them up with brooms and make them leave the area.
Many netizens reacted to the video which has now gained several views on social media platforms. One of the X users wrote, “Bahot sahi..Marathi Women are very clear in their hands about wht is right and how to fight and stand up for themselves…They are not Becharies, that’s the Maratha Spirit.”
Several others lauded this move by the women hailing it to be true ‘women empowerment’ and ‘power of ladies’.
