A road accident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is currently in the headlines. As per Local 18 Madhya Pradesh, in this case, the police have filed a case against the victim’s husband, Ravi Gaur. The police filed this case against Gaur based on his FIR, accusing himself that he was negligent while driving the scooter. As per Gaur, he was driving a scooter on the AB Road, Indore, with his wife on the pillion seat.
While driving, his scooter hit a pothole on the Bus Rapid Transit System and overturned causing grave injuries to the lady. The couple was also holding their 2-year-old child with them. The lady suffered wounds on her head and legs. She was taken to the hospital and the police officials also arrived on the spot after receiving the information. Gaur’s wife is currently not in a position to give any statement and he has taken the sole blame of her injuries on himself. Depicting a highly unprofessional attitude, the police didn’t even wait for the injured lady to give her statement.
The contents of the FIR
In the FIR, the husband mentioned on September 14 at around 8 pm, I (Ravi Gaur) was driving my younger brother Karthik Gaur’s scooter Activa MP 09 DH 8539. Gaur said that his wife Shanu Gaur and a 2-year-old son were sitting in the pillion seat. He was going for a medical checkup at the Naulakha Doctor’s clinic while crossing via Vijay Nagar. Gaur further added that the moment he reached the LIG intersection, due to a traffic jam, the security personnel posted there diverted the traffic from inside BRTS.
Gaur said that he was in a hurry and started driving the scooter recklessly. Due to this high-speed driving, his scooter lost its balance and fell into a pit in the BRTS. Gaur added that his scooter lost his balance and the wife sitting in the backseat with their child fell on the road. The wife suffered injuries on her head and the heel of her right foot. Blood started oozing out of the wounds. An Indore native named Lokchand Kushwaha and other people present nearby saw the incident.
With the help of the other natives present nearby, they took the victim to the Care CHL Hospital, Indore. She was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit but has been discharged now.
