In High School Reunion, Former Students Line Up For Principal’s ‘Cane Blessings’

Many of us find it difficult to maintain old connections, see relatives frequently, and remain in contact with friends in our hectic, fast-paced setting. When was the last time you met former classmates or reunited with childhood friends? You’re not alone if you can’t recall when it was last, but it has been too long. An excellent opportunity for former classmates, friends and acquaintances to reunite is during a high school reunion. To revisit memories, a number of former students from a school chose to mark their reunion in an unusual way.

Reliving old memories, the former students of a school chose to be “beaten” by their principal once more as a reward for his “cane blessings.” A brief video from the students’ reunion was posted by an X user. It shows a group of men gathered for their reunion, with a man who seems to be their principal giving them a cane “beating” one by one.

The caption for the video stated that some of them are police officers, while others work as physicians, advocates, or company owners. Some of them are even teachers or school owners.

The students appeared to be dressed in their school uniforms — white shirts and trousers. A few of them even had backpacks for school. Forming a line in front of a set of stairs, they emerged each one individually in front of their principal, who was standing there with a stick and dressed entirely in white.

You can hear the pupils laughing as they receive their “beating” and remember their earlier school days. This was their method of crediting their principal’s “caning” for their own achievement.

Since being shared, the video accumulated more than 8 lakh views on the social media platform.
