“Flying Beast" Gaurav Taneja and Ritu Rathee have been married for eight years. However, their once-idyllic marriage seems to be hitting a turbulent patch that could lead to their divorce. The rumours of their separation began after fans spotted Rathee, an Airbus A320 captain, seeking guidance from spiritual guru Premanand Govind Sharan at “Bhajan Marg". In the video, she expressed concerns about infidelity and custody of their two daughters, Kiara and Pihu.
In the video that is all over the Internet, a man can be heard asking a question on Rathee’s behalf. The question was, “She truly loved her husband, but in return, received deceit, lies, slander, and humiliation. That’s why now while fulfilling my duties towards my two daughters, I live under the protection of Laali Ji. I live separately. By the grace of Shri Ji, I have a job through which I take care of my daughters. The question is, should I leave everything behind and spend my life solely under the refuge of Shri Ji, or, like Arjuna, should I fight for my daughters’ rights according to the law? It feels like if I choose the latter path, my Shri Ji will become distant from me."

For a very brief period during the now-viral video, the camera panned to show a woman with her identity concealed. However, eagle-eyed fans quickly identified her as Rathee, which started speculation about Taneja cheating on her and their separation as she was absent from Taneja’s recent vlogs.
While both Taneja and Rathee admitted navigating a tumultuous phase in their marriage, they urged for privacy from fans in separate Instagram posts. Taneja stated that he would “remain quiet for his kids and the mother of his children" and is willing to endure all the “negativity and hate". Rathee, on the other hand, urged people to stop labelling Taneja as a “cheater" and offered a reality check regarding their divorce.

After the video of Rathee admitting to living separately went viral, Taneja shared a post with the phrase, “Joi Joi pyaaro kare, soi mohe bhave", which translates to: “Those who love me, I love in return."
“I will remain quiet for my kids and the mother of my child. Ready to live with all the negativity and hate for my entire life. Please don’t expect any public explanation," the 38-year-old YouTuber wrote on Instagram.

He urged people to “stop making assumptions", adding, “Men are made villains very fast. We don’t cry, we talk less and express less. Some of us are hardwired like that."
Before sharing an Instagram video titled “divorce reality check", Rathee shared this particular post by Taneja on her Instagram Story.

Ritu Rathee in an Instagram video captioned “reality", tagged Taneja and offered a reality check on their divorce. She not only acknowledged that she was the woman in the viral video but also denied being wronged by her husband.
“…the same man during these eight years made me equally capable that I can nurture my children alone. How many men in India have made their wives equally capable?" a visibly emotional Rathee asked.

She went on to say, “There are many things that can sting between a husband and wife. Something must have happened. It hurt him this time, and it hurt me too. He thought he was right, and I thought I was right. He became stubborn, and so did I."
“But does that mean that you will tell me what kind of a man he was?" Rathee asked.
The mother of two added, “There are very few people who deserve respect. I know that man inside out. I don’t need to hear about his principles from you. I don’t need to hear from you whether he is genuine, whether he was loyal. I have seen him go through every situation."
Both Taneja and Rathee have asked their fans for privacy during this difficult time, remaining “hopeful" that they will overcome this rough patch.
Last year, Taneja and Rathee, along with their children, visited spiritual guru Premanand Govind Sharan at “Bhajan Marg." A video from their visit is making the rounds on social media. In it, the spiritual guru advised them to tolerate minor issues in their married life to ensure that their love remains strong.
