A picture of a doctor’s handwritten prescription has been doing the rounds on the Internet, leaving people with questions. The prescription was written by the doctor practising at Rogi Kalyan Samiti in MP’s Satna. According to reports, 46-year-old Arvind Kumar Sen visited the hospital complaining of body aches and fever. At the OPD, he met Dr Amit Soni, who prescribed him medicines. The patient took this prescription to various pharmacies, but no one was able to read the names of the medicines.

In the now-viral picture, one can only read two words “W and 225” and see crooked lines all over. The prescription is dated September 4, 2024.

“In India too, prescriptions should be printed like in foreign countries. Why write it by hand? Just type it, print it, and give it to the patient,” added another.

A third commented, “And who prescribes so many medicines for body pain?”

Earlier, a meme that went viral on social media left the Internet turning to pharmacists to decode doctor’s handwriting. The picture captures a blackboard with “A wise doctor once wrote,” written in bold. It follows numerous scribbled words. While reacting to the meme, an individual wrote, “I showed my Pharmacists this meme and they laughed out loud. The Pharmacist laughed because they agreed and confessed that sometimes they have to call the doctor and ask what medication was written on the prescription.”

“All I see are badly drawn worms. Lol,” commented another.
