In his post, Ankur Warikoo credited Farhan Akhtar for inspiring him to go on a fitness journey at the age of 43.

With determination, anything is achievable, whether it’s fulfilling a career goal or losing weight for better health. One such example is Ankur Warikoo, as despite having a successful career, the entrepreneur realised his health had taken a backseat at 40s. Determined to change, he went on a transformative journey and Ankur achieved his dream within a short span of time. In a recent social media post, Ankur shared his remarkable journey and revealed that he went from weighing 79kgs to getting six pack abs with 69kgs. Additionally, he announced that he’ll be releasing a video to inspire others to prioritise health and lifestyle. In his X post, Ankur credited actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar for inspiring to go on a fitness journey at the age of 43.

Ankur shared a post featuring a dramatic black and white picture of himself flaunting his perfectly chiselled abs. In the post, the public speaker also shared a before and after picture showing his transformation journey. In one image, he appeared overweight, while in the other, he looked fit and seen confidently lifting weights. Sharing the post, the entrepreneur wrote, “Fat free at 43. Video releasing on the 20th, documenting the journey, hopefully inspiring others to take charge of their health. Exactly a year apart. 79kgs > 69kgs. Just 10kgs but a different person.”

In the following social media post, Ankur Warikoo shared a HT brunch cover featuring actor Farhan Akhtar. He revealed that the “fat free at 43” reference came after he saw this cover several years ago and made a promise to himself to achieve a similar level of fitness by the age of 43.

In a previous interview with Business Today, Ankur Warikoo spoke about his fitness journey and revealed that exercising became an important part of his life. He confessed that he wasn’t initially a morning person, but a hip surgery that left him to stay on bed for three months and on crutches for another five months was a wake up call for him. This experience pushed Ankur to completely change his schedule. Nowadays, the entrepreneur dedicates six days a week to working out in the gym from 6:15 to 7:45 in the morning. Even while traveling, he makes sure to stay in hotels with well-equipped gyms and gives at least 15 to 30 minutes for exercise.
