Superstar Singer 3 Contestant Mesmerises Karan Johar With His Performance On Ve Kamleya

Sony TV’s popular singing reality show Superstar Singer is back with its third season. The new episode premiered on March 9 and aims to showcase some outstanding young artists from all across the country. Currently, the initial audition episodes are being aired, and participants are striving hard to secure a position in the main competition. In the latest, a performance by a young singer went viral on the internet, and people can’t stop praising him. Among others, he also captivated the filmmaker Karan Johar.

Shubh Sutradhar, a contestant from West Bengal, astonished everyone with his melodic performance of Ve Kamleya from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani on the Superstar Singer 3 stage. He posted a clip of his performance on his social media handle, where Neha Kakkar seemed engrossed by Shubh’s performance. However, not just the judges, even Karan Johar, the director of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was mesmerised by Shubh’s incredible voice. Karan reposted Shubh’s reel on his Instagram story and wrote, “My favourite song in our film ve kamleya.”

Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Shadab Faridi, and Altamash Faridi originally sang the song Ve Kamleya, and Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the song’s lyrics. The music video featured the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani leads, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

After Shubh’s performance, many compared him to Arijit Singh. Benny Dayal commented on the contestant’s post and wrote, “Another Arijit.” Another stated, “Arijit Singh ke jese simplicity h ye ladke me bhi.”

Meanwhile, Superstar Singer 3 provides a national stage where youngsters can show their talent and will be guided by Captains Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Salman Ali, Mohd Danish, and Sayali Kamble. Neha Kakkar appears as the Super Judge. Sharing about judging young talents and guiding them to make a career in the music industry Neha told ETimes, “When it comes to singing or any art form, the seeds of talent are sown at a very early age. I can vouch for this because I too started my musical journey at a young age and since then, it’s been a roller coaster ride of learning and enriching my talent.”

Superstar Singer 3 is being hosted by Haarsh Limbachiyaa and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm.
