The supernatural TV series Naagin is gearing up for a return with its 7th season in 2025. Since its debut in 2015, the show has become a beloved staple in households, each season delivering fresh, mysterious and dramatic storylines. Renowned for its captivating plots and star-studded cast, Naagin has consistently topped the TRP charts, maintaining its strong popularity.
According to a report in Tellychakkar, Naagin will launch its seventh season in January 2025. However, official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited. Rumours of casting Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary as the female lead started swirling after her appearance on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 16. However, recent reports from Bollywood Life have put these speculations to rest, as Priyanka denied being approached for the role. Fans are now eager to know who will play the lead role of serpent in Naagin 7.
Another popular name that has surfaced for the lead role in Ektaa Kapoor’s upcoming season is actress Sumbul Touqeer. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers.
The first season of Naagin premiered in 2015 with Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani in lead roles. In the second season, Mouni Roy starred alongside Karanvir Bohra and Adaa Khan, and it ran from October 8, 2016, to June 25, 2017. The third season featured Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani from June 2, 2018, to May 26, 2019.
The fourth season, Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel aired from December 14, 2019, to August 8, 2020. It featured Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumeria in the key roles. Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal impressed viewers in the fifth season which aired from August 9, 2020, to February 6, 2021. The latest season, Naagin 6, starred Bigg Boss 15 winner Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal, Mahek Chahal, Shrey Mittal and Vatsal Sheth. The season aired from February 12, 2022, to July 9, 2023.
Naagin 6 initially performed strongly, consistently ranking in the top 10 TRP ratings. However, after a few months, its ratings declined, though the show continued to air for a year. Despite the fluctuations in ratings, each season of Naagin has ultimately been successful and remains a favourite among audiences.
