Ishqbaaaz star Shrenu Parikh and her longtime boyfriend Akshay Mhatre have kick-started their wedding celebrations. The countdown to the big day has begun and the actress is keeping her fans updated. The pre-wedding festivities started with a surreal Mehendi ceremony.
Shrenu Parikh uploaded a set of photos from the ceremony and they are nothing short of dreamy. For this special occasion, she chose a stunning green ensemble— a ruffled top with an embellished skirt. She accessorised her outfit with a flower headband, earrings, and an exquisite neckpiece. In one of the snapshots, she flaunted her intricate henna design. “Mehendi rach gai… let’s see how much he loves me…!?” Shrenu Parikh wrote.

Shortly after, Akshay Mhatre reciprocated the joy by resharing his soon-to-be wife’s post on Instagram Stories with a heartfelt caption, “Hello Beautiful.”
Additionally, Akshay Mhatre treated his followers to glimpses of his pre-wedding rituals. In the snapshots, he was seen participating in a puja with his family. He aptly captioned the post with “Shubhaaramb,” marking the auspicious beginning of the festivities.

Continuing to keep their fans in the loop, the duo has been sharing glimpses of the ongoing wedding preparations. The love story between Shrenu and Akshay blossomed on the set of the TV show Ghar Ek Mandir in 2021, where they first crossed paths and eventually found love in each other. Their roka ceremony was held in March at Akshay’s residence in Mumbai.
Previously, talking about their bond, Shrenu Parikh in a conversation with ETimes said, “There is a certain calmness that Akshay brings to my stormy soul. Our friendship is the base of our relationship. Our likes and dislikes, goals are the same. When we got together, we knew that we were meant to be together.” She further added, “Every girl dreams about marriage and I am blessed to have another family now. They encourage me to chase my dreams and follow my heart. I love his family a lot. I always wanted a partner like him who loves the way he takes care of me. I feel blessed and look forward to our wedding in December.”
Shrenu Parikh entered the acting scene with her debut in the 2010 show Zindagi Ka Har Rang…Gulaal. Since then, she has been a part of several shows like Havan, Byaah Humari Bahoo Ka, Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampan, Ghar Ek Mandir, and so on. However, it was her role in Ishqbaaaz and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Ek Baar Phir that propelled her to widespread fame.
Akshay Mhatre, on the other hand, started his career with Marathi movies like Loose Control. He has been a part of shows like Ghar Ek Mandir, Yeh Dil Maange More, Piyaa Albela, Indiawaali Maa and more.
