Actress Chhavi Mittal’s battle with Breast Cancer has been a challenging journey. Diagnosed in April 2022, she underwent surgery and has been candid about her recovery process on social media. However, her path to healing has been far from smooth, as she grapples with complications and health issues. In a recent update, she revealed swelling at her surgery site and is eagerly awaiting her biopsy report.
Chhavi Mittal took to her Instagram handle and shared, “Last night I got massive swelling in the surgery area. Idk when this will end. It does get frustrating at times. But I’m hanging in. Biopsy report still awaited, thank you for checking in you guys.” In the caption she stated her struggle but emphasised that she is hopeful, “There are some blessings and there are some nightmares we all go through. I believe nightmares end and give way to sunny bright mornings. My morning will come real soon. And for whoever needs to hear this, yours will too.”

Many of Chhavi’s friends and colleagues wished for her speedy recovery. Sambhavna Seth said, “You will be fine Chhavi,” while Manasi Parekh wrote, “It will all be good…praying for you.” Mahhi Vij wrote, “You are a Star…Speedy recovery.” Others including Girija Oak, Nisha Raval Neha Swami sent in their love and wishes.
Several months ago, Chhavi Mittal disclosed her diagnosis of costochondritis, a disorder characterised by inflammation of the cartilage connecting the ribs to the breastbone. Chhavi revealed that this affected her breathing and that she felt pain moving her hand and arm, sitting, lying down, and even smiling. Despite the difficulties, she kept a positive attitude, saying, “We all get knocked down, but do we get up again? Well I do! For anyone who needs to hear this.. I know ur suffering in some way or the other.. but ur not alone! And THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”

Prior to this, the actress also faced a reduced bone mineral density (BMD) concern that resulted in unexpected fractures, putting her at high risk for spinal fractures as an osteopenia patient. Chhavi has previously appeared in shows such as Tumhari Disha, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Naaginn, Ek Chutki Aasman, Viraasat, and Krishnadasi. In 2015, Chhavi and her husband, Mohit Hussein, created Shitty Ideas Trending (SIT), a digital production company.
