The Samsung Galaxy F62 has started receiving a new system update that improves the camera app with new functionalities and overall phone’s performance. The new Samsung smartphone that went on sale in India earlier this week is also receiving the February 2021 Android security patch. Galaxy F62 is the company’s second phone in the relatively new F series that started with the Galaxy F41 in October last year. Its base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is available for Rs 23,999 while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option comes with a price tag of Rs 25,999.

As per users’ screenshots available on Twitter, the update comes with firmware version E625FDDU1AUB4 and is roughly 180MB in size. The system update brings camera improvements in terms of performance and stability. The overall device stability has been improved as well. The screenshot further highlights that there are some “new/ or enhanced” features too but exact details remain unclear. Users in India will be notified automatically when the over-the-air (OTA) update arrives on their Samsung Galaxy F62. They can check its availability manually by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

The Samsung Galaxy F62 comes with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out-of-the-box, similar to the flagship Galaxy S21 series. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9825 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full-HD+ resolution. The Samsung Galaxy F62 further has a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. In terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy F62 comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary shooter, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. At the front, the Samsung Galaxy F62 comes with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with 4K video recording capabilities.
