New Delhi: LG has finally launched the recently announced flagship smartphone, G4, in India. Priced at Rs 51,000, the successor to the LG G3 comes with a unique leather back and sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (2560x 1440, 538 ppi). The model launched in India has dual-SIM and dual-LTE support.
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with X10 LTE, 3 GB RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera with F1.8 aperture, 8-megapizel front camera, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The highlight of the flagship device is its camera that comes with manual controls typically limited to full-bodied SLR cameras. It is touted to have a rare-in-smartphones F1.8 aperture lens which allows 80 per cent more light to hit the image sensor than in the LG G3.
Packed with a 3000 mAh battery, the LG G4 is claimed to last 20 per cent longer than the G3, from the same capacity battery.
The G4 phones will have a choice of leather finishes - black, brown, red, sky blue, beige, yellow - crafted for a better grip. Other material options for the G4 rear cover include pure Ceramic White with 3D patterns, artisan-forged Metallic Gray as well lustrous, Shiny Gold.
The LG G4 was first announced in April.
