Realme Narzo 20 Now Getting Stable Android 11-Based Realme UI 2.0 in India: What's New
The Realme Narzo 20 will start getting the new Realme UI 2.0 in a phased manner. Once the over-the-air (OTA) update is available on the smartphone, users will likely get a notification.

The Realme Narzo 20 is now getting the stable Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 that carries a slew of new features. As a part of the update, Realme Narzo 20 users are getting features like an enhanced Dark mode, Tone Tunes, among others. The Chinese tech company has been testing the Realme UI 2.0 beta with several smartphones over the last few months, though only the Realme X50 Pro had received the stable software version so far. The company will likely roll out out the stable Android 11-based UI for the Realme Narzo 20A and Narzo 20 Pro in the coming months.

As per the official blog post, the Realme Narzo 20 will start getting the new Realme UI 2.0 in a phased manner. Once the over-the-air (OTA) update is available on the smartphone, users will likely get a notification. They can also check its availability manually by heading to Settings > Software update. The Realme Narzo 20 series was launched in India in September 2020 with the Android 10-based Realme UI.

To receive the update, the Realme Narzo 20 phone should run on software version A.25. User can now enjoy an optimised photo editing feature with upgraded algorithms and more markup effects and filters. The Android 11-based update also brings a camera shortcut to share and edit photos instantly. Other feature such as ‘Sleep Capsule’ to help users schedule sleep time and ‘Sound amplifier’ to amplify faint sounds in the environment are also being rolled out.

In terms of security and privacy, Realme Narzo 20 users can now turn “App lock” on or off in the Quick Settings. There’s also a “Low battery message” feature that lets you quickly share the location with select people when the phone’s battery is below 15%. Moreover, the SOS function is getting improvements. Realme UI 2.0 carries an optimised “Permission manager” that lets you choose “Allow only once” while sharing details with apps. Users can check the entire changelog below:

Third-party icons for apps on the home screen are now supported.

Three Dark mode styles are available: Enhanced, medium, and gentle; wallpapers and icons can be adjusted to Dark mode; and the display contrast can be adjusted automatically to ambient light.

You can now drag text, images, or files out of a floating window or from one app to another app in Split screen mode.

Optimised the editing page of Smart Sidebar: Two tabs are displayed and the order of items can be customized.

Added “Tone tunes”: Consecutive notification tones will be linked to form a single melody.

Optimised the user interfaces of Notes: New visuals are provided on the list and editing pages.

Added weather animations to provide you with a more interesting experience.

Optimised vibration effects for text input and gameplay.

Optimised “Auto brightness”.

Launcher

You can now remove a folder or combine it with another one.

Added filters for “Drawer mode”: You can now filter apps by letters, install time, or usage frequency to quickly find an app.

Security and Privacy

You can now turn “App lock” on or off in Quick Settings.

Added “Low battery message”: When your phone battery is lower than 15%, you can quickly send a message to share your location with specified people.

More powerful SOS functions

Emergency info: You can quickly display your personal emergency info to first responders. The information can be shown even when your screen is locked.

Optimised “Permission manager”: You can now choose “Allow only once” for sensitive permissions to better protect your privacy.

Added Immersive mode which reduces disturbances while gaming so you can stay focused.

You can change the way to summon Game Assistant.

You can share your personal hotspot with others via a QR code.

Optimised the photo editing feature with upgraded algorithms and more markup effects and filters.

HeyTap Cloud

You can back up your photos, documents, system settings, WeChat data, and more, and easily migrate to a new phone.

Added shortcuts to instantly share and edit photos or videos you just took.
