Nothing Phone 2a Plus has launched in India and other markets on Wednesday. The company had only recently introduced the Phone 2a model for buyers but now we are seeing the 2a Plus moniker added to its lineup. Unlike our estimates, the Phone 2a Plus doesn’t get a bigger display but there are some notable hardware upgrades that look to justify the higher price tag than the Phone 2a.
Nothing is once again using a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and the battery size is the same but the design sees minor alterations to help it differentiate from the Phone 2a.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus Price In India
Nothing Phone 2a launch price in India is Rs 27,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB variant, going up to Rs 29,999 if you want the 12GB + 256GB model. There will be launch day offers which give you the chance to get further discounts on the phone. The Phone 2a Plus will go on sale from August 7.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus Features
The Phone 2a Plus sports the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate like the Phone 2a. It is upgraded to the new MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset with up to 12GB and 256GB storage. The brand says the new chipset makes the Phone 2a Plus 10 percent faster than the Phone 2a.
It runs on the reliable and bloatware-free Nothing OS version based on Android 14 and the Phone 2a Plus will get 3 more OS upgrades along with 4 years of security patches.
On the imaging front, Phone 2a Plus comes with the same 50MP dual rear camera system with OIS on the main sensor.
However, the front shooter has now been upgraded from 32MP to a 50MP sensor. Similarly, the Phone 2a Plus packs a 5,000mAh battery but it supports 50W charging speed now, a marginal bump from the 45W speed available with the Phone 2a. There is no charger in the box once again.
