As Microsoft's partner, Simplilearn will train IT professionals on Azure Cloud platform with cloud expert Bernard Golden as the course advisor.

Global professional training company Simplilearn on November 23 collaborated with software giant Microsoft to build a talent pool of over one lakh next generation cloud professionals in India by 2020.

As Microsoft's partner, Simplilearn will train IT professionals on Azure Cloud platform with cloud expert Bernard Golden as the course advisor and experienced Microsoft certified trainers on board.

"We want to be instrumental in empowering professionals adapt to the changing digital technologies," said Krishna Kumar, Founder & CEO, Simplilearn, in a statement.

After being trained and certified, professionals will have career opportunities in the growing cloud domain as .NET developers, solution architects and so on.

"By partnering with Simplilearn, we are assured of talent in India that is skilled and up to date on cloud capabilities," said Manohar Hotchandani, Director (Business Development) Microsoft India.

Goldman Sachs forecasts that the cloud platform and infrastructure market roughly generate $21 billion in revenues and is expected to grow by 20 percent year after year to $43 billion by 2018.
