LG, which is expected to unveil its new smartphone with a dual display at its October 1 event, has posted a teaser video that hints at the smartphone's unsual new design. The 15-second long video though doesn't reveal much about the rumoured phone, it adds weight to the design that we have already seen in the leaked images doing the rounds on the Internet.
The dual display here doesn't mean that the phone would have one display at front and the other at the back - like what we have seen on Yotaphones. LG instead is speculated to have the second display at the front only. The leaked images and the official teaser video hints at a small, secondary display next to the front camera.
Prolific leaked @evleaks [1,2] claims that the new phone will be named the V10, and will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage (with microSD card support), 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing shooter.
LG's approach may seem a little fresh in today's times, but we have seen a similar design on a Samsung phone in 2010. Samsung, around half-a-decade ago, had launched the Continuum smartphone that had a secondary display placed at the bottom of the device.
