Is Microsoft bringing 'People Sense' to make up for deleting 'Rooms' app from Windows Phone 10?
Launched with the Windows Phone 8, Rooms failed to gain popularity and Microsoft decided to remove it entirely from Windows 10.

New Delhi: Microsoft recently announced that it was pulling out the Rooms app from its upcoming Windows Phone 10 OS. Rooms was one of the biggest new features in Windows Phone and allowed users to hold conversations and share photos, notes, and calendars in private groups.

Launched with the Windows Phone 8, the app failed to gain popularity and the company decided to remove it entirely from the upcoming version of the operating system.

Now a report by a Spanish-language website, Microsoft Place, states that the software maker is rumoured to be developing an app called People Sense to help users find friends on Windows Phone.

While announcing the death of Rooms app in future versions, Microsoft said that it was making way for new features in Windows 10 that will help users stay in touch with the people that matter most.

The app, codenamed Buddy Aware, is expected to integrate Bing Maps with messaging and calling features. It also allows users to mark favourite places like 'home' or 'work' and integrate them in the app. More features are expected to be incorporated in People Sense.
