Apple looks to fix the issues with the existing iOS versions but the company also has a keen eye on making sure the next update will be glitch-free. Apple has seemingly been forced to pause the work on iOS 18 version for next year to take care of all the bugs and inconsistencies with the iOS 17 version.
However, that doesn’t mean Apple has completely strayed away from focusing on the upcoming version, in fact, new reports say otherwise. Apple is betting the next iOS 18 version to be its most ambitious update in years for iPhone users. The report by Bloomberg suggests Apple will have some big changes with the iOS 18 version not only with the design of the interface but performance boost as well.
We still don’t know what big changes we could see with the iOS 18 version but it is likely that Apple will pick up the tab for AI next year and give iPhone users a taste of ChatGPT-like tech for the consumers. Apple is probably one of the few tech companies to show its work in the field of AI and it is imperative that the company enters the arena and gets everyone’s attention.
We’re still quite some time away as the WWDC 2024 conference isn’t lined up until May or June next year. So it is possible that Apple starts making a broad set of plans and showcases its interest in AI and how it plans to use the technology without compromising on the privacy of its users.
In the meanwhile, Apple is heavily invested in growing its M-series chips for Macs and iPads for which we recently saw the M3 series silicone announced with the new MacBook Pro models for buyers. It will be interesting to see how Apple trains its AI model without access to its user’s data and as we have seen with Siri over the years.
